Please welcome The Lace Knitters Society 2026! This is a special club for serious lovers of lace knitting AND for those who want to dip a toe in with other lace lovers, but don’t want to commit to a larger project. There will be a total of seven patterns in the ebook: three larger shawl patterns in lace weight yarn, three smaller and simpler fingering weight patterns based on the lace weight shawls, and a bonus end-of-year mashup using motifs from the previous patterns. I want us all to be able to knit lace together! The larger lace weight patterns will all be in the general style of the pictures shown in the photo gallery, and the smaller fingering weight patterns will be based on motifs in the larger shawls, but will be simpler and less time consuming to knit. The pictures are all previous designs of mine. The patterns will each have a medium (for regular yarn option) and tall (for double yarn option) size included. The medium size lace weight shawl will use from 700-950 yards. The tall lace weight shawl size will vary, but in general will use at least 1200 yards. The medium size fingering weight shawl will use from 350-400 yards, and the tall fingering weight shawl will generally use about 550-700 yards.
As mentioned above, the club will include seven total new Romi lace patterns (see examples of past club designs in the picture gallery + two simpler designs at the end), and three shipments to support those patterns. Yarn will be lace weight and/or fingering weight depending on the option you. choose. At the end of the club shipment term, the seventh pattern, a mashup of different lace patterns from the previous three club designs, will come out. No shipment will be associated with this pattern. In addition to yarn and patterns, there will be one sterling silver shawl pin for the year, one project bag, and beads if required for the design. Each pattern will have associated YouTube Lives where I’ll be going over techniques (these will have a permanent home and may be viewed indefinitely)! We will also have two zoom get-togethers per pattern, and a mini newsletter with updates and links to Lives, Videos, and Zooms. This club is all about coming together to share our love of lace. I want you all to feel welcome, no matter how much lace you’ve knitted!

2026 estimated schedule (subject to change):
- Shipping mid March; pattern out late March
- Shipping early July; pattern out mid July
- Shipping late October; pattern out mid November
- No shipment; mashup pattern out late January
You can purchase The Lace Knitters Society club in one payment, or break it into two payments (with a one-time charge of $10). The second installment will bill out to your email address on 16 January 2026. I do not keep credit card numbers on file, so I will be invoicing you. You can also choose to use the PayPal financing instead! This will remove me entirely from the process. If that is your choice, just choose the one payment option and PayPal will do the rest! An eBook pattern-only option will be available on 15 December 2025 on Ravelry.com and on designsbyromi.com (DBR), and will include all seven club patterns for purchase without shipments. Single club patterns will not be available to the public until February of 2027, at which time they will be listed on Ravelry.com and on DBRÂ for general purchase. Club members will receive a code to place patterns in your Ravelry library, and the patterns will remain downloadable through your DBR account.
Shipping to the US is included in the purchase price, and extra shipping costs out of country will be billed based on charges at the time of shipment.
Please note: club items are purchased and yarn is dyed well in advance of club shipments. Because of this, no refunds or cancellations can be given after January 15, 2026. You may transfer your club membership to a third party, however. Please contact Romi for assistance.
