Worked in two colors, The Avenues shawl echoes two motifs from the Funston shawl, my 2025 mystery, as well as its overall construction.
With a modern hap construction just like Funston, this shawl uses a slightly heavier weight, more forgiving yarn to acclimate your muscle memory to the slip stitch and lace motifs without committing to a huge shawl.
This shawl is the third and final step in a guided journey through the motifs and techniques in Funston, but broken down into smaller projects so that each shawl is a manageable step and beautiful project on its own. Put together, they build the skills and confidence for the larger and more complex Funston shawl. And if you have already knit the Funston shawl? You will love these!
