This lovely triangular shawl uses two colors of bamboo fingering weight yarn and a modern hap construction. The center triangle is built from the bottom up and uses a yarn over at the beginning of each row to increase the triangle. It is finished off with a knitted on edging.

The Dry Creek Valley is a scenic wine growing region in California’s Sonoma County. I have many memories of bike rides through the valley with my partner, each of us towing one of our two boys in a trailer. The colors and motifs  in this shawl remind me of the dusty dry riverbed in the summer, the sound of cicadas, and the taste of the best peaches in the world, grown at Dry Creek Peach and Produce.

This pattern was originally a knit-along with YouTube Live technique videos. The videos are still available using the links in the summer shawl-along 2020 intro file.

This listing is for a PDF downloadable hand knitting pattern. Included in the files is a document with links to 5 YouTube videos (originally Lives) showing different techniques included in the shawl. You will have unlimited access to the downloads through your account.
