Inspired by the green bandanas and handkerchiefs I’ve seen throughout the world at abortion access protests (starting almost 20 years ago in Argentina!), the autonomy cowl pattern was designed to help raise funds for groups making full reproductive healthcare more available to all. There are lots of wonderful dyers who have green yarns available for this cowl and I’ll be showing some of them in my Instagram stories and on my grid.

The dk version shown at top takes only about 100-110 yards of yarn, and the fingering weight pattern hack shown at bottom takes about 150 yards. There is charted patterning, and also directions on omitting the patterning for a plain cowl if desired. Any shade of green that fits your personality is perfect!

This listing is for a PDF downloadable hand knitting pattern only. You will have unlimited access to the downloads through your account.
