As light, as light as can be, the Splash of Sunshine shawl echoes two motifs from the Funston shawl, my 2025 mystery.
It’s a satisfyingly simple pattern, and a great introduction to lace knitted in mohair and silk. The top uses a T increase to present a beautiful smooth triangle, and the lace charts (with written instructions also included) are very straightforward.
This shawl begins a guided journey through the motifs and techniques in Funston, but broken down into smaller projects so that each shawl is a manageable step and beautiful project on its own. Put together, they build the skills and confidence for the larger and more complex Funston shawl. And if you have already knit the Funston shawl? You will love these!
